URBAN TELLERS® is a live storytelling show held at THE FREMONT, located at 2393 NE Fremont, on the first Friday of every month from October through June.
Connect to the heart and soul of Portland! Every month, a group of 6 people come together as Urban Tellers® to stand and deliver the real, true stories that they have discovered, crafted, and honed in Portland Story Theater’sArt of Personal Narrative workshops. Told eye to eye, face to face, and heart to heart.
Jessica Tyner poet and author will be reading from her recently debuted book, ORYGUN (Nov. 1).
ORYGUN takes you home, marrying confessional poetry, while tapping deep into the reader’s cravings for a full literary experience. This collection of narrative poems touch on how the landscapes that helped raise us also shape us, the intricacies of love with ourselves and others, and shared human struggles of hope and desire, as we teeter on ever-changing, emotional edges.
