Special Edition Pre-Order for Stations of the Cosmic Christ
San Francisco, CA, November 20th, 2015—Stations of the Cosmic Christ, the sequel to the bestseller The Coming of the Cosmic Christ, debuts today for preorder to the world via two thousand copies which will be signed by its authors, Bishop Marc Andrus and Matthew Fox.
Matthew Fox had a dream in which he was told, “Your mother is dying.” Matthew took the dream to mean that Mother Earth—the Cosmic Christ—was being crucified. This was the impetus for the first book The Coming of the Cosmic Christ, which speaks to “the survival issues of our time.”
Stations of the Cosmic Christ, the sequel now available for pre-order, is both practicum and spiritual guidebook. Bishop Andrus and Fox recognize that “people are searching for spiritual practices that are useful, simple, and yet immersive.” The book was written, say its authors, “to carry us to a deeper part of ourselves, in order that we connect with all beings in joy and sorrow, anguish and resurrection, and to the cosmos itself.” Further, the authors say we “need an awakening of our cosmic selves” in order to fully understand the beauty and the ‘Oneness’ of the cosmos, and understand that the universe is the collective home of all living beings. The book asks readers to understand the suffering and sacredness of our Earth so that we might aid in its resurrection. The Stations of the Cosmic Christ includes photographs of an important, visually arresting set of sculptures of the 16 Stations, created by two artists—the late poet, potter, and essayist, MC Richards, and contemporary South American artist, Javier Lemus.”
The 2,000 special edition copies of the The Stations of the Cosmic Christ will ship in early March to their adoptive owners. The limited edition signed Stations of the Cosmic Christ retails for $39.99 and is available through Tayen Lane Publishing (www.tayenlane.com/shop/). Additionally, the Stations of the Cosmic Christ card deck (MSRP $9.99) will be available as a free gift to those who purchase the limited edition, signed book.
The standard hardcover version of Stations of the Cosmic Christ will debut Easter 2016 at Grace Cathedral, and will be in wide release at bookstores across the country and in Canada at that time.
